I received this e-mail from Dale Antonsen. I don't really know the particulars on the legitimacy but it must be if it came from Dale.
I wish they had a contact phone number.
Here are the particulars on the Family we are helping out. All
supplies that are received will be distributed wisely and locally.
Anything you can provide will be appreciated. We sent a huge box of
supplies yesterday, and another two huge boxes today.
We will be sending another shipment on Tuesday the 6th of September.
Let me know if I may swing by over the long weekend with boxes or bags.
Thank you,
Dale

Subject: Dollar Family Relief Fund
September 1, 2005
Dear Family, Friends, and Others:
Over the last few days all of us have watched the devastation of
Hurricane Katrina grow. Many of you know that we spent the first half of
our lives in Natchez, Mississippi and have a large extended family that
resided in New Orleans and surrounding areas.
We are extremely grateful that all of our family is now accounted for
including six who stayed and were fortunate to live through harrowing
experiences. There are approximately 112 family members that are now
staying, or are in the process of heading to my parents, sister,
grandparents and cousins' homes in Natchez. These family members lost
all they had in the storm.
It is now clear, with nowhere else to go and no homes or jobs to return
to, that housing and other support will be needed for months to come.
Even with this huge strain on family resources, my Natchez family is
also assisting other refugees, which underscores the breadth of the
tragedy and the help needed.
If you are planning to give a charitable donation to victims of Katrina,
we ask that you consider one of two options to provide support to our
family and others in need. The first option is a monetary donation; the
second option is to send supplies directly to our family.
If you wish to make a cash donation, you may do so by sending a check to
the following fund:
Dollar Family Relief Fund
Account #2629574
United Mississippi Bank
P.O. Box 670
Natchez, MS 39121
601-445-7000
ABA # with Federal Reserve: 065301883
(may be needed if you wire the donation).
Local bank contacts
(Adrian Stallone-my uncle, Agnes Holloway-my cousin).
If you need a local address instead of a P.O. Box, please use
105 Woodville Dr., Natchez, MS 39120.
If you wish to send supplies directly, we have a list below of items
most in need. The local stores are short on supplies with all the
refugees in town. In addition to listed items, if you happen to have
some other household items that you were thinking of sending on to
Goodwill, please consider sending them to my family. Any items that can
not be used by my family will be given to the local shelters, which are
now burgeoning with people as this small town struggles to find new
shelter locations for the ongoing inflow of displaced people. Anything
you think would be fun for kids would also be appreciated. Supplies can
be sent to my parent's business at the following address:
Dollar Family Relief Fund
C/O Premo Stallone, Inc.
86 St. Catherine St.
Natchez, MS 39120
Items In Need
Non-perishable food
Bottled water and drinks
Powdered drinks (Gatorade)

Diapers (#1-2 & #3)
Milk and baby formula
Insect Repellent
Toilet paper
Toiletries
Flashlights
Tampons
Disinfectant
Detergent
Generators

We understand that a larger item like a generator is expensive to part
with and ship. However, we have placed it on the list since generators
are much in need, difficult to obtain in the South, and we don't want to
presume to know the ability of the readers of this letter to donate such
an item.
We also understand that there are many others also in need due to this
storm and you may have your charity of preference. This letter provides
people with a direct donation option where you can be assured that every
dollar and every item donated will be directly distributed to people in
need.
Thank you with all our hearts. - Natalie Dollar and Dan Becraft
