It's
Real To Feel
I
was talking to a friend the other day
And
I listened real hard to what she had to say
To show her that I care
She was troubled by anger inside of her head
From the hurtful words that someone said
So I told her, do not despair
You can't always wear a smile on your face
Even anger has its place
When two souls collide
But it's real to feel
Though it's hard sometimes
From a happy heart to a troubled mind
Feel what you feel inside
Feel what you feel inside
I was looking real hard to find relief
I cacooned myself inside my grief
Love was outside looking in
Then I opened my eyes to the love around me
I'm so glad my family found me
Now I'm ready to live again
But I can't always wear a smile on my face
Sometimes sorry has its place
When tears need to be cried
But it's real to feel though it's hard sometimes
From a happy heart to a troubled mind
Feel what you feel inside
Feel what you feel inside
The only feeling that isn't real is when
You tell yourself that you don't feel it
The way you really do
I was watching my wife just today
And she looked so lovely I had to say
Thank God that you are here
And when we go to sleep at night
I reach for her and hold her tight
I am lucky that she is near
Cause she's the reason I'm wearing
This smile on my face
And I'm glad when happy has its place
When we're taking it for a ride
But it's real to feel though it's hard sometimes
From a happy heart to a troubled mind
Feel what you feel inside
Feel what you feel inside
